 Design

The design of the Jabra Elite Active 75t in terms of the earbuds and charging case is the same as the non-Active Elite 75t, but a rubberized coating for preventing drops makes a difference in the Active version. The rubberized texture is an excellent addition as the matte plastic results a bit slippery on the regular Elite 75t. As it also has a fingerprint and dust magnet, so the user has to wipe down time to time to keep clean the earbuds and case.

The charging case has a USB Type-C charging port with a tiny light at the back to indicate the charging status by changing its color from red to green. Due to the magnetic hinge, the case provides a smooth open and close mechanism. Users will get two earbuds tucked inside the case while opening. Each of the earbuds has sported with Jabra branding that is also the physical buttons.

Jabra Elite Active 75t version gets the excellent fit and finishes just like its non-active version. Controls can be handled by the user with the physical buttons available on each earbud. There are also shortcuts available, but as that will take a bit of time to familiarise me with. For example, the user can control music playback via the left earbud only, so they cannot access them while using the headphones as a single-earbud mode. It also means that the left earbud in a single-earbud manner can’t be used. Volume controls are also tricky as a user needs to press and hold dial to increase or decrease volume. Instead of that, the user can change the volume by their smartphone easily.

Speaking of smartphones, Jabra delivers an excellent user experience. There is a mobile application to download firmware updates of the earbuds for a customizable EQ and sound profiles. One can use Jabra Elite Active 75t for 3-4 hours continuously without any fatigue.

Performance

The Jabra Elite Active 75t is extremely bass-forwarded and muddy. The user needs to use EQ of the app to dial out some bass and balance a neutral tone more. Detail of Elite Active 75t is just right, soundstage bass, and lack of some texture detail as compared to more expensive headphones like the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 2 and the Master & Dynamic MW07+.

Jabra Elite Active 75t

Though the Jabra Elite Active 75t doesn’t have an active noise cancellation feature, it can block out the noise with excellence. The ear-tips are included with good dial seal to block out most external noise. User has to be aware of their surroundings during running by enabling Hear-Through of the left earbud with a single press. Hear-Through can be customized in the app by the user to allow as little or as much external noise as they want to hear.

You can connect two devices with it at a time, and it will automatically pause while removing one earbud from the ear. By long pressing the right button and volume raising button, it can access digital assistants such as Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa.

Battery Life & Back-up

Jabra Elite Active 75t is expected to last long at least 6 hours of continuous battery life that may cover user’s watch plans and long calling sessions. Along with the charging case, it can last for approximately 24 hours. The headphones will turn off after 15 minutes without connection and 60 minutes without activity automatically to avoid battery drainage.

Conclusion

The Jabra Elite Active 75t is an excellent sports enthusiast headphone, including a little bit extra bass. The increased IP rating (IP57) will make the headphones a bit more dust and sweat resistance. And the rubberized texture helps to grip the case and earbuds even in sweaty hands.
